Please give us a brief introduction of yourself Linda?
I'm a Finnish content creator and pr consultant for brands in the beauty and fashion segments. I'm also a mother for my 1 year son August.
How would you describe your personal style and key wardrobe pieces?
I would say my style is minimal and effortless. I love an oversized fit with interesting cuts, craftsmanship, neutral tones. I'm most likely wearing something with voluminous long sleeves, tailored trousers, natural fabrics like cashmere, linen or silk. I love to combine something casual with something more elevated, like denim and structured silk top. I have built a capsule wardrobe with staple pieces that I absolutely love year after year and can wear in different combinations.
Tell us about your beautifully curated home in Helsinki. What are your most cherished pieces in your home?
We live in a 1920's building in the center of Helsinki with big windows over a small park. It's like a painting watching the view evolve with the seasons. For example in summer, we have a lilac in bloom just outside our window - it's like having flowers at home all the time. We wanted our home to be a minimal and calm space with lots of natural materials like marble, sandstone and wood. My favourite pieces at home are probably our Vitra Noguchi coffee table that is the center piece of our living room but also my husband's hand-me-downs DeSede leather couch and arm chair that have sentimental value.
What are your go-to places to shop, eat and stay in Helsinki?
My favourite place to stay is Hotel St. George in the center of Helsinki. There are lots of good restaurants in Helsinki but my favourite currently is Cafe Savoy, a favourite cafe is Way Bakery. I love the Artek store for Finnish design classics.
What would you describe as your top destinations for travel through Europe? And Summer wardrobe essentials to pack?
I love the South of France, were we usually go for a week every summer. My summer stable pieces are linen shirts, elevated shorts and a neutral summer dresses.
Current favourite artist?
Abstract minimalism like Agnes Martin.
Architecture inspiration right now?
I always find inspiration in Finnish functionalism and Finnish architecture with a japandi mood.
Favourite sound currently?
Bon Iver always
How do you plan to fulfill your creative desires for the rest of 2023?
I'm redecorating our home a bit by moving some furniture to give me the feeling of newness and a new perspective. I feel fall is always about new beginnings. Also, slow days in the countryside by the sea give me inspiration.
